Max India Foundation adopts school in Ropar

Ropar, February 1 Teach a child and you create a better world. In the same spirit, Max India Foundation with Max Specialty Products has adopted a local government school at Rail Majra village near Ropar in Punjab.

The organisation will provide books, stationary, and clothes to poor children.

It also gifted a health centre to the village.

During a function held today, Mohini Daljeet Singh, former president of the Army Wives’ Welfare Association and wife of Lt. Gen (Retd) Daljit Singh, Commanding Officer (Western Command), inaugurated the health centre. Mohini Singh is currently heading Max India Foundation.

Meena Kumari, sarpanch of the village, Dr SK Gupta, Civil Surgeon, Ropar, and Dr RS Parmar were guests of honour.

The Max Health Centre will function under supervision of Dr AP Chaudhary, MD (Pulmonary Medicine) and will be available to public from 10am to 1 pm daily except Saturdays and Sundays. There will be free medical consultation and patients will be medicines free-of-cost.

Addressing the gathering Mohini Daljeet Singh said, “Max India Foundation has partnered with CanSupport, which is ready to offer palliative care to advanced cancer patients from disadvantaged backgrounds. CanSupport offers free services such as home care, day care, counselling and therapy centres across Delhi and other surrounding areas of Delhi by team of dedicated nurses, doctors and volunteers.”
