Kolkata The shock defeat against Vasco in the last match notwithstanding, Sporting Clube de Goa will start as favourites against Mohammedan Sporting in the I-League 13th round match here at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan (YBK) tomorrow.

Sporting Clube coach Biswas Gaonkar, however, admitted that the set back has shaken up the team a bit, but at the same time he said, the team would regroup fast.

“We had a tough outing against Vasco, right from ball possession to every aspect of the game. In fact, conceding the goal made us quite nervous as a result of which panic set in,” Gaonkar said on the match eve. Still, he is likely to go all out tomorrow to secure full points.

The Goans would miss Nathaniel Amos, nursing an injured toe and defender Chandrasekhar Chinta, struggling with a sore hamstring. Midfielder Harmanjot Khabra is not available either, out suspended. While Wilton Gomes is expected to replace Khabra, newcomer Rakshak Naik, on loan from Raia Sports Club (Goa) is likely to play alongside Nigerian Obagbemiro Junior up front.

Md Sporting, on the other hand, showed character in coming back from behind to hold Air India 1-1 at Cooperage in their last match.
