Chandigarh The Chandigarh Administration is all set to write to the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to seek permission to invite fresh Expression of Interests for the multi-crore Medicity project. Last week, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had disposed a PIL, filed by a senior advocate, alleging discrepancies in the

conceptualisation of the project.

Confirming the development, a senior UT Administration official said: “We are waiting for a copy of the High Court order. As soon as we receive that, we shall draft a letter requesting the CVC to expedite the probe. We don’t anticipate any major problems in the CVC taking the final call, particularly after the High Court disposed of the matter.”

The Medicity project ran into rough weather when Advisor to UT Administrator Pradip Mehra alleged that land for the project was ‘under-valued’. The 45-acre project aimed at offering citizens world-class health services.
