Meenu, Nidhi bowl Delhi to victory in Indira cricket

Lucknow, January 3 Commendable bowling performances by Meenu Bhan (3 for 7 in 5 overs) and Nidhi (3 for 7 in 3 overs) went a long way as Delhi defeated AP by nine wickets in their day’s match of the All India Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Memorial Women’s Cricket Tournament at Sports College grounds here on Thursday.

In another league match of the same tourney played at KD Singh `Babu’ Stadium, Maharashtra defeated Madhya Pradesh by 19 runs.

AP: 59 all out in 20.4 overs ( P Radhika 11; Nidhi 3 for 7, Meenu Bhan 3 for 19, Kavita Aiswal 1 for 4, Bharti Rathi 1 for 5, Meenu Chadhari 1 for 6, Yashima 1 for 15);

Delhi: 63 for one in 11 overs ( Pooja Rawat 26 not out, Bharti Rathi 15 not out).(at KD Singh `Babu’ Stadium)-

Maharashtra: 117 all out in 29 overs ( Sonali Suryavanshi 23, Preeti Jadhav 21, Dipali Bamne 21; Bhavna Srivastava 3 for 21, Preeti Kushwaha 3 for 23, Ritu S Tomar 2 for 11, Kamni Bakshi 1 for 17);

Madhya Pradesh: 98 all out in 29.3 overs ( Hari Priya Das 19, Bhavna Srivastava 17, Ranu Sharma 11, Kanak 10; Madhura Athaule 3 for 15, Tanvi Kanke 2 for 14, Priti Jadhav 1 for 19, Deepali 1 for 26).
