New Delhi, February 3 With no sun in sight and light rain at a few places, Delhi shivered through the Sunday. Though temperature was recorded at 20.3 degrees, people preferred to stay indoors; even the Book Fair failed to bring them out on the holiday.

Why rain
The Met department says the drizzle was because of the high humidity of about 98 per cent. “It rained at a few places on Sunday but it was a mere trace and there is nothing to worry about,” said an officer at the Safdarjung Met department. Sunday night was comparatively warmer with the minimum temperature rising from 2.9 on Saturday to 5 degrees Celsius.

What’s in store
The Met department predicts that the cold condition will improve from Monday and the cloud cover will continue giving warmer nights. “The north-westerly winds that caused cold in the end of January is gone. Delhi will become warmer now,” predicts the weatherman.
