They have already received 38 offers so far, with annual packages ranging between Rs 15 to 40 lakh. The average package offered is Rs 24 lakh, with nine of them having decided to join their former employers after the completion of their course later this month.
The students have been recruited for senior leadership positions in consultancy, real estate, government reforms, infrastructure and social development by giants such as like Price Waterhouse Coopers, Ernst & Young, McKinsey, GMR, Reliance ADAG, DLF, IL&FS, NISG, Raheja, RPG, ICICI Foundation, SBI Caps, Capital Fortunes, Feedback Ventures, ICICI Lombard and St. Johns.
IIM-A has designed the PGP-PMP course for mid-carrier professionals who in the course of their jobs come across significant questions of public policy.
The course component also features attachment for eight weeks with leading universities researching in the field of public policy. This year, the universities include the Faculty of Economics and Social Science, International Organisation MBA Programme, University of Geneva, Lyndon Johnson School of Public Affairs, University of Texas at Austin and the Georgetown Public Policy Institute, Georgetown University.
Participants at the PGP-PMP course have experience between 8 to 24 years in fields as widespread as banking, financial services, defence and the government.
