Minister survives after plane carrying him develops snag

Allahabad, February 22 The wheels of a plane carrying a state minister and other VVIPs developed a snag while landing at the Bahmrauli airport here today afternoon, sending officials into a tizzy.

But nothing untoward took place as all the passengers and the crewmembers were safe.

“It was a minor snag,” said District Magistrate of Allahabad Ashish Goel.

The minister and his entourage then immediately headed back to Lucknow on another state government plane, which was sent here.

Earlier, there were rumours that the plane had crashed. But the district authorities soon contacted media and said that a minor snag had taken place.
