Kolkata The Left Front government has asked its ministers to sit with the MLAs, discuss problems of the people and take speedy decisions.

“The ministers will sit with the MLAs and leaders of respective districts to discuss various problems of the people like electricity, drinking water, ration cards and take speedy decisions,” Left Front chief whip Syed Md Masih told mediapersons in Kolkata on Wednesday.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the council of ministers and Left Front legislators that was chaired by Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.

The Chief Minister has also asked his Cabinet colleagues to improve their attendance in the Assembly and asked them to be present during the question hour.

Bhattacharjee told the Left Front MLAs that opposition Trinamool Congress would try to create trouble in the Assembly and asked them to raise various problems of the people as responsible people’s representatives, Masih said.

“The Opposition is trying to block the functioning of the government throughout the state. They will try to stall normal business of the House. We have to be careful about their behaviour,” Bhattacharjee reportedly told his ministers at the meeting.
