While the incident occurred on February 2, the victim’s mother Sumitra Vasava lodged an FIR against the accused on February 11. Police arrested four persons in this connection on Wednesday.

According to the police, the incident occurred when the victim was with her boyfriend at a missionary school ground.

The accused, all aged between 20 and 25 years, came and tied the boy, Vipul Vasava (15), with a rope before raping the girl.

Investigation Officer DD Damor said, “Four accused in the case-Prakash Vasava, Nitin Vasava, alias Puni, Mukesh Vasava alias Chilli and Brij Vasava alias Bhalu- have been arrested. They have, however, not confessed to the crime.”

He added that the victim’s medical tests were going on.

Detailing on this incident, he said, “The victim was studying at D D High School in Jhagadia, and the school was having its annual function that day. The victim and her boyfriend decided to spend some time alone and went to a nearby missionary school in the evening.

The missionary school is around 1 km from her school.”
