The alleged incident occurred on the Motera Road late on Friday.
The police said the incident was provoked by a minor road-rage incident. An unidentified motorcyclist was not able to overtake the truck for more than 15 minutes, as truck driver Santosh Karade, a resident of Nasik in
Maharashtra, did not allow the motorcyclists any space due to traffic.
The motorcyclists somehow overtook the truck on a lonely stretch and asked the driver to halt. The two then started hurling abuses on Karade and his staffer and started pelting stones on the truck.
Two more persons, who were following behind on two-wheelers, joined the two and broke the windowpanes and lights of the truck. An Adalaj police officer said: “Karade has told us that the four were aged around 30. We have registered an case of rioting against the quartet and search is on.”
