panchkula The birthday celebrations of a four-year-old today turned sour after the body of her father, Rajan Thukral, was found floating in the fountain at Shakti Bhavan roundabout in Sector 6, Panchkula under mysterious circumstances.

Thirty-two-year-old Rajan Thukral had gone missing from his residence in Sector 4, Panchkula, last morning. The body was found today by the morning walkers who later informed the police. No injury marks were found on the body and the post mortem report stated drowning as the cause of death.

Rajan's father J L Thakural is working as a Deputy Manager at SBI in Sector 17. Though family members refused to comment, police said that Rajan was deeply involved in meditation and had recently joined a training center to learn the nuances of export and import business.

Talking to Newsline, Balwant Rai, SHO, Sector 5, Police Station said, "We assume that it was a suicide though no suicide note was recovered. According to Rajan's family, he must have drowned while meditating". With no lead in the case, police are waiting for the detailed post mortem report for further investigations.
