MNS leader found dead

Pune, February 7 The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Bhor taluka chief Sandeep Laxman Bandal was murdered by unidentified persons in front of the Mehendale garage in Kothrud area on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, around 12 unidentified persons assaulted Bandal with sharp weapon on the road when he was talking on mobile phone. He received injuries on his face, back and head and died on the spot. The 29-year-old Bandal who was to get married on February 16 was visiting his uncle in the area. Shopkeepers in the area closed their shops. The police said they have not get any information about the assaulters and which direction they went after assaulting. Bandal had eight offences registered against him for attempting murder, illegal brewing of liquor and assault.
