Mohit blasts ton for Arya Academy

Lucknow Mohit Yadav blasted a century as his team— Arya Cricket Academy registered an impressive 85 run victory against Yorker Cricket Club ‘Blue’ in their pre-quarterfinal match of the Capricorn Drug India Cricket Tournament played at DAV College grounds here on Tuesday.

Batting first, Arya Academy scored 224 runs losing four wickets in the given 35 overs. Mohit (127) and Amitabh (47) batted impressively for the team. D Bahadur took two wickets.

In reply, Yorker Cricket Club ‘Blue’ was all out at a total of 139 runs in 29.5 overs. P Singh with 44 was the main run-getter. Brijesh Kumar (24) and Ankit Rawat (21) too put up a brave front. Manish Lal claimed three wickets.

Brief Scores: Arya Cricket Academy: 224 for four in 35 overs ( Mohit Yadav 127, Amitabh Pathak 47; D Bahadur 2 for 31); Yorker Club ‘Blue’: 139 all out in 29.5 overs (Prahlad Singh 44, Brijesh Kumar 24, Ankit Rawat 21; Manish Lal 3 for 33).
