Kolkata In the face of Land and Land Reforms Minister Rezzak Mollah’s repeated attacks on the party, an embarrassed CPM has decided to place the issue before the next state committee meeting likely to be held in the second week of January.

Despite being warned by the party state secretariat last month, Mollah once again lambasted the party and its top leaders yesterday.

At the routine secretariat meeting today, a member raised the issue where CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and state CPM secretary Biman Bose were present.

The meeting was scheduled to discuss the party’s view on several issues, including ‘party rectification’ in the politburo meeting to be held on December 26 and 27 in Delhi, in which Bhattacharjee, Bose and Commerce and Industries Minister Nirupam Sen are likely to be present.

An unfazed Mollah, meanwhile, said: “I would not deny, rather I will tell them that I have explained the party line in my language. If they want to discuss it in a state committee meeting, I have no objection.”
