Mayor Arti Mehra wrote to Minister of Development Raj Kumar Chauhan on Friday regarding monkey menace in the villages around the monkey shelter at Bhati Mines. She warned that if the Delhi government failed to take steps to end the menace, the Councillors of the area would be forced to start an agitation. She said court orders asked the MCD to catch monkeys from all over Delhi and leave them at a spot decided by the Delhi government at Bhati Mines. She said while the MCD was doing so, the Delhi government had made no arrangements to control the monkeys and provide food to them.
