Khursheed’s Anda-pav
Opposite Amar Juice Center,
Juhu-Santa Cruz Road
LONG after most places shut shop for the day, Khursheed continues to serve his famous egg bhurji and omelette pav to carloads of people who come from across the city to eat at his humble stall. Hundreds of car windows roll down every night to eat his famous anda-pav, priced at Rs 20. He makes it hot and he makes it well. Khursheed has made a name for himself with his delicious egg preparation that come with onion rings, lemon and green coriander chutney. For those who like to watch their weight, he doesn’t dunk the pav in butter. This perfect recipe goes well with tea available from night time cyclewallahs.

La Brasserie
Le Royal Meridien
A MULTI-cuisine restaurant, the midnight buffet here is for those who prefer to have a light dinner post midnight. Chicken clear soup, sprouts, capsicum and lettuce salads and a few cold cuts, make for a good start. If a salad doesn’t whet your appetite, try the Roasted herb potatoes or the Vegetable casserole. For the main course, there is plenty to choose from — three varieties of rice, chicken and fish (both Indian and Chinese style). The USP - they’re all light on the tummy. But the pick of the buffet is the dessert section with chocolate mousse, gulab jamun, rasmalai and a variety of assorted desserts. Add to this, a complimentary beer, a soft drink or fresh fruit juice, and all this for just Rs 450. The pleasant noise of money saved.

Rodas Ecotel
Hiranandani, Powai
COMMUTING to Rodas is an effort that foodies gladly take to try out their midnight buffet, which is lavish and reasonably priced. Every section has plenty to choose from. The mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian soups, salads and appetisers fill you up so much that there is hardly any space left for the main course. For those who want to skip the starters, a multi-cuisine main course provides you with a lot of variety that includes chicken, lamb, fish and vegetarian dishes. But make sure you save up your appetite for some dessert. It is the best section with a variety of mousses, pastries and Indian desserts to choose from.
