Mumbai University of Mumbai joined SRM University from Tamil Nadu in the final of the All India Inter Zonal Inter University Cricket Tournament for the Rohinton Baria Trophy, by beating RSTM, Nagpur by 215 runs on Friday.

After remaining on their overnight score of 360 for five in their quota of 80 overs in the two-day semifinal at the Elf-Vengsarkar ground, Oval Maidan, Mumbai medium-pacer Harshad Desale and spinner Vishal Dabholkar hastened the end of the Rashtra Sant Tukadoji Maharaj University innings with three wickets apiece, as the visitors were bowled out for 145 runs in 49.4 overs.

SRM University booked their final berth by beating Delhi University by six wickets in the other semi-final at the Bombay Gymkhana on Thursday. They will now look to halt Mumbai’s run towards a hat-trick of titles in the final.

The four-day final, which starts from Monday, will be held at the Elf-Vengsarkar ground, Oval Maidan.

Univ of Mumbai 360 for 5 bt RSTM, Nagpur 145 all out in 49.4 overs (Akshaye Kolhar 40, Jayant Jangitwar 33, Sunny Sawalkar 29; Vishal Dabholkar 3-21, Harshad Desale 3-33) by 215 runs.
