How does Soha Ali Khan spend her free time, especially since she has so few films? “I sink into a couch with a mug of coffee and a mystery novel,” she confided, after releasing her long-time friend Ashish Jaiswal’s debut novel True Dummy (Rupa, Rs 195) at a city bookstore recently. Jaiswal and she go back to their days at Oxford University, she added.

“I prefer reading murder mysteries. My mother and I share a fascination for mystery novels. One of my all-time favourites are Sherlock Holmes novels,” she added. She would love to play a detective in a film but, unfortunately, no such role has come her way as yet. “At present, I am shooting for a comedy film for UTV Productions,” she shared. “It’s called Dhoondte Reh Jaoge and stars Sonu Sood of Jodhaa Akbar fame.”
