Vadodara In a relief to M S University (MSU), National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC) recently sent an official communiqué to the university informing that all the universities who are submitting their re-accreditation Report (RAR) will have to submit their report by June, this year.

Sources in NAAC committee said: “The university was supposed to submit the report by February. However, it got more time to prepare a detailed report on the re-accreditation of the varsity.”

S M Joshi, who chairs NAAC committee, said, “An official mail had come during the first week of February, which specified that the RAR will have to be submitted after six months. This is for the universities, which want to re-accredit this year across India.”

The university has already missed the bus by skipping five-year deadline for UGC-NAAC rating. A self-evaluative report is almost on the verge of completion by the committee set up by MSU. Interestingly, there are several issues, which remain unresolved, such as introducing teaching programmes at MSU Department of Physical Education, increasing the capacity of hostels, teachers-students ratio in faculties like Commerce and Arts. Over 100 departments in 13 faculties and three institutes will be screened for the academic and administrative excellence.
