Mumbai, February 3 National Cricket Club regained the Young Comrade Shield. They beat Karnataka Sporting Association by virtue of their big first innings lead on the third and last day of the final at Karnataka ground, Cross Maidan.

With the unseasonable rain in the morning, match started 15 minutes after the lunch. Karnataka resuming their second innings at 57 for 1 were bowled out for 222 in 29.5 overs. Sachin Wagh was the top scorer with an unbeaten 62 in 48 balls with the help of two sixes and four boundaries.Openers Dinesh Salunke (45), Manish Bangera, and Akshay Girap were the other main run getters. Medium pacer Musaveer Khote and left arm spinner Nilesh Kulkarni share the spoil. At draw of stumps National were 81 for 7 in 24 overs with seamer Moondeep Mangela taking five wickets for 35 runs in 12 overs while off spinner Akshay Girap took 2 for 21.
