Pune, January 3 Three persons have been arrested by the Chatuhshrungi police in connection with the New Year eve violence at the PAN Card Club in Baner that left three partygoers injured.

Joint Commisioner of Police, Rajendra Sonawane told at a press conference on Thursday that the police have arrested Manish Chaubal, the club’s manager, Pratap Barde, Chaubal’s assistant and Manish Gandhi, another employee for keeping loudspeakers on beyond the 12.30 am deadline. Sonawane said the club also did not make adequate security arrangements and allowed more than the permissible number of people into the venue.

The New Year party ran into trouble in the wee hours of January 1 when three persons, including a woman, were assaulted in the midst of a drunken brawl.
