It is already underway since January 4 and was formally inaugurated on Monday by Dr Darlie O Koshy, director of NID.
‘The India Report’ talks about interdisciplinary education and creating a difference in ‘kind, not of degree’, and many of its tenets are found to be relevant even today. The think tank has been organised in association with Konstfack, University College of Art, Craft and Design, Sweden and the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship.
The participants will analyse ‘The India Report ‘while the think tank will reflect on its importance and use it as a tool to forecast a global future for education in India and other nations.
Through this five day programme nine Swedish and 20 NID students and faculty members will share the Immersive Experience. They have prepared an experience from the “inside” which covers different aspects of Swedish society.
The immersive experience will be divided into three themes— Culture, Environment and Technology, Society and Politics. The aim with the Immersive Experience is to give the Indian students a crash course in Swedish culture and ways of life.
Some of the topics to be covered are: lifestyle, youth culture, security, equality, diversity, cliché, culture, government, society, technology, economy, religion, tradition, school/education, health, consumption patterns, individualism and environment. The deliberations on the topic will conclude on January 9.
