Judge Ram Jain has summoned the then Noida police circle officer, Dinesh Yadav, for re-examination on a plea by lawyer Khalid Khan, who is representing the family of 19-year-old Rimpa Haldar.

The direction came a day after the CBI produced the case diary. Khan alleged on Friday that either the CBI had tampered with the diary or created “false documentary evidence”.

He said there was a difference in the “original” case diary and the one produced by the CBI. He said the photocopy, which was given to the victim’s family on demand by the Noida police last year, had shown that 15 skulls were recovered from both the prime accused in the case, Pandher and his help Surinder Koli.

The case diary now produced, however, states the skulls were recovered from Koli only, he said, adding that the reference to the recovery of an “aari” (saw) was also missing.

Khan alleged the CBI was making all efforts to save Pandher. He had earlier moved an application under Section 91 and 311 of the CrPC, demanding the production of the case diary and summoning of Noida police officer Dinesh Yadav in a CBI court.
