Chandigarh The sister of Noor Kataria, Bulbul, has accused the police of “fabricating” cases against Noor. Bulbul claimed that ever since her sister turned hostile in the Anuradha murder case, various cases have been framed against her on false grounds.

She referred to a complaint lodged with the police by one of Noor’s friends, claiming that Noor had filmed a video of her and her fiancee and later uploaded it on a website. The video in question was reportedly of explicit content showing Noor’s friend and her fiancée in a bathroom in an objectionable position.

“Noor’s mobile phone has been lying with the police ever since she was arrested in May last year for possessing a fake driving licence. The complainant alleged that Noor had secretly filmed them and later uploaded the clip on the website. How could she upload the clip when the mobile was in the custody of the police,” stated Bulbul.

She alleged that Noor’s friend had an affair with a person running a saloon in the city and that they had broken up after two months.

“One day, Noor’s friend came to her and transferred a video clip to Noor’s mobile phone saying that, if need be, she would use the clip against the boy,” claimed Bulbul.

She added, “The police are fabricating the case just because Noor turned hostile in court.”

Senior officials with the police said the allegations are serious and they would look into the matter.

The Cyber Cell has, meanwhile, written to the website for providing details of the uploading of the clip. “We have asked them to provide us with the data as soon as possible,” said an official with the Cyber Cell.

DSP K I P Singh said, “They have asked for the IP address of the computer, the place and the internet connection used to upload the clip. If it is uploaded from an individual’s computer, he would be identified. And if it was uploaded from a cyber cafe, the records of the cafe would be summoned.”

In May 2008 Baljinder Singh Sandhu alias Talla, a local property dealer, was arrested for allegedly masterminding the murder of his wife Anuradha. Extra-marital relations of Baljinder with Noor Kataria was stated to be the main motive behind the murder.
