The authorities of the website — www.hi5.com — have informed the Chandigarh police of the connection used for the crime. “We have found the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer used to upload the pictures. The persons on our suspect list will be questioned soon,” added the officer.
Senior Superintendent of Police S S Srivastava said: “We hope to nab the culprit soon. A team has already visited the café and is investigating further,” he said.
In January, Pooja had lodged a complaint with the police that Noor had taken obscene pictures of her and her fiancé at a room in Taj Hotel through her mobile phone in 2006. The same photographs were uploaded on www.hi5.com early this year.
Noor’s sister Bulbul has refuted the allegations on the behalf of her sister. “Noor is being victimised by a few police officers for turning hostile in the Anuradha murder case and they are fabricating cases against her. Pooja herself transferred the photographs on Noor’s mobile but Noor had deleted them.”
