Lucknow An old couple and their son were found murdered at their house in Dholna area of Kanshiram Nagar district on Friday noon. The motive behind the killings was yet to be ascertained, though the house was ransacked and jewellery was said to be missing.

Kanshiram Nagar Superintendent of Police Luv Kumar said they received a call from one Madhuri at 2 pm informing them that her father-in-law Kishorilal (65), his wife Ram Snehi (60) and their younger son Satyawan (22) were lying dead in the house.

Madhuri lives along with her husband at Kasganj and is a teacher at the Rehmatpur Mufti village. She would visit her in-laws everyday after school hours, the SP added.

According to Kumar, Kishorilal was hit with a heavy object on his head while his wife was strangled to death. There was no apparent injury mark on the youth’s body and the cause of his death could be established after conducting a postmortem, he said.
