Parwanoo As buses have started to halt at the old bus stand on the main road in Pinjore, major traffic jams are being reported from the area.

The old bus stand was shifted by the Administration long ago, and a new bus stop was made near Pinjore Garden from where the passengers had started boarding the buses.

For the last few days, however, buses have started stopping at the old bus stand, causing traffic hurdles.

Om Karan Gautam, a resident of Sector 6 in Parwanoo, points out that the old bus stand causes a traffic jam whenever two buses stop for more than five minutes. With the roads here being narrow, traffic chokes as several vehicles are caught in the jam.

When contacted, Kalka DSP Daya Nand agreed that the halting of buses at the old stand poses a problem. While assuring to take action, Daya Nand stated that no bus would be allowed to stop at the old bus stop.

The DSP added that there are plans to divide the road in Pinjore Bazaar on a trial basis. This way, overtaking of cars from the wrong side will be stopped, he pointed out.
