Vijayraman, Special DG of CRPF, said: “We have chalked out our operation plans, which cannot be disclosed. We are also planning to nab the Maoist commanders without whom Kishenji would be a lame duck.”
“There are commanders in the Maoist ranks in Lalgarh belt who can actually lead the movement even in Kishenji’s absence,” added the DG.
A senior CRPF official said: “The police have already provided intelligence inputs about the commanders.”
While the state government is waiting for the seven companies of the central security forces to arrive, the CRPF units have already started moving towards the Bengal-Jharkhand and Bengal-Bihar border from Dantewada in Chattishgarh via Malkangiri in Orissa, said Vijayraman.
The DG also clarified that there was nothing like “Greenhunt Operation,” which was frequently being referred by the media.
“The Greenhunt operation was organised in Chhattisgarh. But the operation that we are launching is yet to be named,” said Vijayraman.
In the last couple of weeks, Kishenji reportedly gave the security forces the slip minutes before the security agencies reached the spot — one in Metala forest and the other in Mathurapur forest of West Midnapore.
