One dead in mishap on Nashik Road

Pune, February 24 One person died while another was injured in a head-on collision between a jeep and a truck near the old octroi post on Pune-Nashik Road around 11.45 pm on Friday.

The deceased was identified as the jeep driver Parmeshwar Ramrao Solanki (27) of Chakan. He was working as a driver on a pick up jeep of Samarth Designer Workshop on Chakan Road. The supervisor of the workshop, Sandeep Pandurang Badhe (26) of Ashtavinayak Nagari in Chakan, who was injured in the mishap, has lodged a complaint against the unknown truck driver with Bhosari police station.
