Delhi girl and designer Puja Nayyar has re-emerged from her self imposed hibernation. On Friday, Nayyar launched her store at Select City Mall at Saket with a swinging party. The central atrium was cordoned off and decked up with attractive installation art, organised by Sunil Sethi of Alliance Merchandising, with Nayyar displaying parts of her new collection called Mechanism of Life. From Nikhil Mehra to Leena Singh to Varun Bahl to Samant Chauhan, most designers turned up for a night out. The store on the second floor is a plush affair, done up in sparkling white. It has been designed by Baba Dewan, with inputs from Sethi. Nayyar, who is now dating Rajeev Sen, actor Sushmita Sen’s brother, admitted that she’s banking on her new store. “I am keeping my fingers crossed,” said the petite designer, who will again be giving fashion week a miss this year.
