It is generally said that a piece of jewellery is a woman's best friend. And if you are one who believes in the saying and are passionate about owning designer creations, you may head towards the ongoing Art Karat jewellery show at Ambawadi in Ahmedabad.

The show has entered its seventh year in Ahmedabad this time with a varied collection of jewellery. The theme this year is 'Eternal bond of love', which has been put up by noted jewellery designer Asha Kamal Modi of Art Karat. In fact, her collection was seen in movies like Monsoon Wedding, Zubeida and Devdas.

One will find at the show items like earrings, necklaces, chockers, bracelets, bajuband and mang tikkas. The exhibition showcases designer pieces - from ruby amber necklace to temple jewellery pieces, opal kada, heavy necklaces in various shades of jade, and black pearl to other precious stone items. The price starts from Rs 900 for a set of earrings to Rs 40,000 for a necklace. In case one wants an exclusive design, one can go for customised orders. Tuesday is the last day of the exhibition.
