Their recent voyage to the Antarctica served twin purposes, as it was not only a voyage but also a passionate photo expedition. The expedition arranged by Anil Damle Group Tours saw eight voyagers traveling to the Arctic as well as the Antarctica. The photo collection has photos of the vast grasslands of Masai Mara, Kenya along with its fauna. The photo that captured the numerous flamingoes on Lake Nakuru is a feast for the eyes. Pictures of the Cape of Good Hope, the 1.75 km wide Victoria Falls and its roaring mist, the Great Wall of China along with the arid plains of the Gobi desert are included in the collection. "It is very adventurous to be a part of such unusual journeys and to click pictures of the rare-to-find polar bears was an amazing experience," confesses Anil Damle, the tour director. The amusing picture collection and incredible videos will introduce the native flora and fauna of Arctic, the polar bears, icebergs that the voyagers came across during their last December expedition to Antarctica. Rare aquatic species including whales like sei, humpback, baleen and blue whales have been snapped by these enthusiasts. The collection of photographs from both the trips were on display at Yashwantro Chavan Natyagriha on January 5 and 6 to the delight of lovers of nature and photography.
