In an alleged case of paper leak, a teacher of Government High School at Chavni Mohalla has come under the scanner for leaking the Class IX mathematics paper. However, the teacher has denied the charges and alleged that she was beaten up by the office superintendent.

District Education Officer Amarjit Kaur, meanwhile, has initiated an enquiry into the incident which occurred on Monday morning when the students were about to take their maths examination, being conducted at the school itself.

“I have recorded the statements of both the teacher and the superintendent involved and the DEO will further investigate the matter tomorrow,” said Varsha Shukla, deputy DEO.

Sources reveal that the teacher who had allegedly leaked the maths paper to the students before the exam entered into a tiff with the office superintendent after the principal of the school asked her to abort the exam and distribute a different set of question papers. The teacher, however, alleged that she was beaten up by the superintendent. No case had been registered till the filing of this report.
