Parks to be awarded at Panchkula spring fest

Panchkula, March 4 The two-day Spring Festival in Panchkula will begin on a new note this year on March 8. It has been decided to award those sector associations that have best maintained their parks at the festival. Like every year, the festival would be held at Town Park in Sector 5 and several flower shows and competitions would be organised.

“Unlike other years, this year we would also have a competition where the sector associations that have maintained their two parks would be honoured and given prizes. Besides that there are several other flower based competitions that have been planned,” said Jogi Ram, XEN from Horticulture, HUDA.

Camel riding and around 100 stalls will be put up during the two-day fest. Cultural nights have also been planned in the Yavnike open-air theatre where in Punjabi singers would perform.
