PAU V-C releases book on cardio-pulmonary topics

Ludhiana A book “Cardio-pulmonary topics” jointly authored by Dr RS Bhatia and Dr Harpreet Singh, consultant physicians, was released by Dr Manjit Singh Kang, Vice-Chancellor, PAU on Friday Dr Kang said that advancement in understanding the patho-physiology of cardio-respiratory disorders in the recent times, owing to availability of efficient diagnostic tools, has led to recognition of the problem in various situations.

The 192-page book comprising 21 chapters provides crisp information on selected topics such as cardio pulmonary assessment, cardio-pulmonary causes of pyrexia in ICU, manifestation in HIV/AIDS, in rabies, cardiovascular disorders in the elderly, magnesium in cardiorespiratory, new therapeutic options, etc. Dr Kang said that due to the rapidly developing science of diagnosis and management of various cardio-pulmonary disorders, the released book will be extremely useful to health practitioners.

Congratulating the authors for bringing out a pocket book on an important health-care subject, Dr Kang hoped that the book shall be an asset for medical students.
