“It was refreshing to see students speaking on such serious topics with a light heart and in a witty manner,” said the spokesperson. It was followed by an interactive session with the students in which their queries about HIV-AIDS were answered.
Raviraj Kaur, Principal of GMSSS 35, said it was a wonderful endeavour by the students of Punjab Engineering College to bring awareness among children. “The menace of drug abuse is on the rise, particularly in the slums. This effort of the PEC students will motivate other students to take up the responsibility of further spreading the awareness among those they come in contact with,” she added.
Amit, a student of Class X, said that apart from being entertaining, the play also answered his doubts about HIV-AIDS. Rahul Tayal, a Commonwealth Youth Ambassador, said that such plays enhanced a nation’s drive against HIV-AIDS.
