Pune Apart from developing infrastructure, laying roads and supplying water, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has identified another social task to do, which the young couples in the city should be wary of.

On Friday, a few young couples engaged in indecent behaviour at public places, faced punishments. They had to pay the penalty and their parents were informed about their acts. The Multipurpose Squad of the Kasba-Vishrambaugwada ward office, which has the job of detecting as well as punishing nuisance mongers, caught 12 young couples indulging in indecent and vulgar acts. They were spotted at Sarasbaug and Peshwe Park and the civic officials informed their parents and asked them to come on the spot. The couple had to face double the embarrassment, as they were asked to cough up Rs 500 each for their behaviour. The civic squad managed to earn Rs 6,000 as the penalty amount.

These ward offices have warned that young couples will face action if they were spotted indulging in indecent acts at public places like Sarasbaug, Peshwe Park, Shaniwarwada, ward officer Madhav Jagta.
