The ban was part of a seven-point order issued by the Delhi Police for the orderly conduct of the Class X and XII CBSE exams. “The usage of photocopiers has been banned within 500 metres of the boundary of any exam centre during the exams,” an officer said.
The order also bans the use of loud speakers, exhibition of placards and banners, the carrying, collection and preparing of items for pelting or for use as missiles, near the exam centres. Another stricture is the ban on the raising of any slogans or loud voices that could facilitate copying in the exams from outside the centres, the officer said.
Those who contravene the order shall be punishable under Section 188 of IPC (disobeying public servant), the official said.
