Faizabad, January 31 The Faizabad police finally filed a chargesheet against minister Anandsen as a suspect in the Shashi murder case on Wednesday.

Anandsen’s driver Vijaysen is the main accused while BSP worker Sima Azad, who is absconding, has been named as a co-accused.

Vijaysen is in police remand for 90 days and today he was produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Gyan Prakash. The CJM remanded him to judicial custody till February 13.

Anandsen had to resign from the ministry after Shashi’s father Yogendra Prasad blamed him for his daughter’s disappearance. Shashi went missing in Faizabad on October 22 last year. A month later, the police turned the missing case into a case of murder.

Yogendra Prasad had alleged that Shashi, who was a law student, had been kidnapped by Anandsen Yadav with the help of Vijaysen and Sima Azad.

Chief Minister Mayawati had sought a CBI inquiry into the matter, but the CBI has not yet taken up the case.
