Kolkata The police have recovered the second mobile phone of Arindam Manna, the GRP sub inspector whose body was found lying near railway tracks on February 11.

Around 11:15 am on February 10, Arindam had called his fiancée from the mobile using a Vodafone SIM card.

By tracing the IMEI number of the handset, the police on Monday recovered the mobile set from a person living in the shanties by the side of railway tracks between Uttarpara and Hind Motor.

According to the police, the SIM card used by Manna, which was cut into three pieces, has also been recovered. The person from whom the set was recovered claimed he had found the mobile from the side of the railway track.

The man also claimed he had taken out the SIM card and started using the phone with another SIM card.
