Pune, December 14 In a new development in the murder of Anil Dhole, the manager of infamous brothel-keeper Kalyani Deshpande, the Chattuhshrungi police in their remand report said they need to trace the whereabouts of three girls who had escaped from captivity — at the white bungalow on Sus Road — where Dhole was murdered. The police who had produced the seven accused in Court seeking an extension.

The accused had been remanded to police custody till December 14 and were produced in Court on Friday, when the police requested for an extension of police custody. The police in their remand report had said they suspect, that the three girls who had been kept captive in the house had fled out of sheer fear and haven’t been traced yet. The police also want to investigate whether their ornaments or cash, if any, was stolen by the accused and also need to trace cash and valuables worth Rs 5,000 that were allegedly stolen by the accused.

The police have also referred to a letter sent by the Anti-Corruption Gandhigiri Jan Andolan president, Nitin Jagtap alleging that the girls may have been subjected to rape and said that it warranted investigation. The remand report also mentions that while the police suspect Babu Parmar to be the kingpin behind the murder, he refused to reveal anything and hence they need more time for interrogating the accused, which might help them ascertain the motive of the murder.

Chattuhshrungi senior PI, Sheshrao Suryavanshi said the police are requesting that the accused be made to undergo a narco test to gain a better insight into the case, adding that the test may be able to ascertain whether Kalyani Deshpande was in any way involved in the murder.

Dhole had been brutally murdered at his white bungalow located on Sus Road on December 3 following which the police had arrested Babu Parmar (25), Suresh Kharate (22), Ali Sayyed (20), and 19-year-olds Dhamma Jadhav, Amin Kabir Sheikh and Balaji Lokhande and Ganesh Raju Shinde. The police had said the accused had forcibly locked Dhole’s servants Tulsi Gaur and Dinesh Shankar as well as three girls named Komal, Heena and Reshma inside the bungalow and then attacked Dhole, killing him and decamping with five mobiles, his purse, clothes as well as the deceased’s Tata Safari vehicle, the total booty estimated to be worth Rs 5.07 lakh.
