Vadodara The Jhagadia police have set up two checkposts outside the residence of local Janata Dal (United) MLA, Chotu Vasava, whose two sons are at large after allegedly beating up a Congress leader.

The Ankleshwar police said they are conducting combing operations in several parts of Bharuch to nab the two — Kishore and Dilip Vasava. Both have been booked for attempt to murder after attacking Congress leader Bhallu Vasava in the early hours of Thursday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ankleshwar, B Ninama said, “It seems like the duo have moved out of the region.”

According to details of the case, Kishore and Dilip, along with 12 others, had barged into the house of Congress leader Girish Vasava, and beat up Ballu and two others present there with sticks and also damaged property.

Several criminal cases against the Vasava brothers are reportedly pending in Bharuch and Surat courts.
