Gurgaon Now, Gurgaon has India’s first paperless police station equipped with CCTV cameras and other devices. To be inaugurated soon, the Civil Line Police Station has a high-tech clerk room which resembles a call centre workplace. One can register FIRs here of which the aggrieved party will get a print on the spot.

This police station will act as single window for all police-related services and facilities in Gurgaon.

Gurgaon Police Commissioner Mohinder Lal said one can get information regarding status of complaint or access services like passport verification from the public block near the entrance.

“Status of NOCs, passports, servant verification and arms licence verification can be known from the police station, where in the reception room there is provision to help people in writing their complaints,” Lal said.

“Out of the 23 police stations in the district, seven will be turned high-tech in the first phase — the old Gurgaon police station, DLF Sector 29, Sadar, City, Civil Lines, Sector 56 and Manesar. The remaining will be modernised in two phases, taking seven police stations at a time,” he said.

About Rs 50 lakh has been spent on the modernisation of each police station.
