Ludhiana The Department of Posts has now started a new facility for its customers: they can now submit application forms online.

V K Raizada, Senior Suprintendent, Post offices, Ludhiana (Urban), said, “This facility has been started at General Post Office at Bharat Nagar Chowk. If any department accepts online applications for a post or a vacancy, the interested candidates can send their online applications through the post office. For this, the candidate will have to send a very nominal amount i.e. Rs 20 per application.”

He said however the hard copy of the applicatioan would have to be sent by the candidate through registered post.

He said that online submission of applications will also be accepted in case of admission forms. The SSPO said, “Sometimes schools, universities or other institutes invite ‘online submission of admission forms’. In this case also the department of posts will provide the same facility. The facility is presently available at the Customers’ Care Centre of GPO.
