Present Yadavrians drub Old Boys by six wickets

Patiala, February 2 Present Yadavindrians team defeated the old boys team by 6 wickets in a festive cricket match played at YPS cricket stadium here today. The match is played every year to celebrate the 60th Founders Day of the school.

Old Yadvandrians team won the toss and elected to bat first and piled up 143 in 29.3 overs. The main scorers for the old students were Dalbir Mandi (27), Soumil (26), Gagandeep Sarao (25). The main wicket taker for the present side was Robin who claimed four wickets giving away 21 runs while Amitoze and Amandeep scalped two wickets each.

In reply, Present Yadavindrians reached the required target for the loss of four wickets. Amitoze was the top scorer for the winning side playing a knock of 72 runs while Amandeep scored 23 runs.

Earlier in the day Randhir Singh, member board of governors, YPS and secretary general, Indian Olympic Association, inaugurated the shooting range at the school.
