Bhiwani The investigation into the death of Shiv Kumar and Gajender Singh, of Kharak village, that led to a series of protests, has finally started.

Commissioner Ambala range, Mohinder Kumar, visited the village and recorded the statements of eight villagers, including the widows of the two. He also talked to the members of Village Sangharsh Committee, constituted under the chairmanship of Col Bhagrara.

The Commissioner, however, refused to divulge any information as it would affect the investigation. He will submit a detailed investigation report to the Haryana government for further course of action.

The two bodies were found on December 18, under mysterious circumstances, four days after their disappearance from Kharak village. According to family members, they had gone to attend a marriage but did not reach the venue.
