Pune win state Rollball Championship

Pune Pune beat Nagpur 1-0 in the girl's section final of the state rollball championship organized by the Maharashtra State Rollball Association and the Nagpur Rollball Association and held at the Central Point school in Nagpur recently. This state level tournament was played in the under-11 category and involved teams from all over Maharashtra.

Boy's and girl's teams from Bhandara, Yavatmal, Buldhana, Amravati, Akola, Gadchiroli, Parbhani, Aurangabad, Jalna, Jalgaon, Nashik,Dhule, Ahmadnagar, Thane, Ratnagiri, Kolhapur, Latur, Nanded, Wardha and Pune.

It was a close affair. Neither defences could be broken at the end of ull time and the game went into extra time. Vaishnavi Sarda was the difference between the two teams as she scored the golden goal in extra time.
