Tall and lanky Lipsa of Ambala gave a good start to Haryana scoring 3 runs, while Suman, Sunita and Rajwinder contributed with 2 runs each to keep Haryana in dominating position. In reply, Chandigarh could muster only 3 runs. In the other semi-final encounter Punjab drubbed MP 1-0. It was Manju from the Punjab team who made the lone 1 run. Haryana will face Punjab in the final to be played on Monday.

In the men’s section too, Chandigarh (blue) lost to Haryana 2-3 in the semi-final encounter. From the winning side, Sandeep scored 2 runs and Minish hit 1 run. Vikram and Baljeet fired 1 run each from Chandigarh side.
