Film buffs have lots to cheer about! The Punjab Entertainment Society is celebrating Punjab International Film Festival from February 13 to 15 and part of the event will be major Bollywood stars, producers and directors.
Bollywood World, an exhibition showcasing displays based on Bollywood films, cultural programmes, amusement park, a food street, two mega musical nights, performances by Bollywood stars like Sameera Reddy, Neha Dhupia and Rakhi Sawant...you can look forward to all this and more. The festival will have films from more than 10 countries like China, France, Germany, UK. According to Naveen Sharma, General Secretary, Punjab Entertainment Society, producers and directors from Bollywood will have a panel discussion on Punjab, An Emerging Entertainment Hub. The idea, he says, is to position PIFF as a mainstream Hindi film festival, screen films from other countries in collaboration with their respective embassies, reach out to mainstream audience, to highlight Punjab Government’s support to entertainment as an industry and position PIFF as a key annual event in Indian entertainment industry’s calendar, one that attracts top film-makers, studios and international and national tourists.
