Punjabi University dons to present papers abroad

Patiala, February 1 RK Bawa, faculty at the Department of Computer Science of Punjabi University and BS Sandhu, reader in Physics at the Punjabi University, have been invited to present papers at various international conferences abroad.

While Bawa has been invited to present a paper at the International Conference on Scientific Computing to be organised by International Association of Engineers at Hong Kong from March 19 to 21, Sandhu has been invited to present his research paper at the 11th International Conference on Radiation Shielding and 15th Topical Meeting of the Radiation Protection and Shielding Division (RPSD) of American Nuclear Society in Georgia, United States of America.

Bawa will present a research paper on “New Computational Technique for Convection Diffusion Problems Arising in Areas of Scientific Computing” during the conference. He has also been nominated for the Best Paper Award of the conference.

Sandhu, on the other hand, will give an oral presentation on “New Non-Destructive Technique Employing Multiple Scattering of Gamma Photons for Measurement of Effective Atomic Numbers of Composite Materials.”

Bawa, meanwhile, will also deliver an Invited Talk at the Fifth World Congress on Non-Linear Analysis to be organised by Florida Institute of Technology, USA, to be held in July, 2008. His talk will be based on his recent research findings for obtaining higher order solution of normalised flux for reaction diffusion problems arising in many areas of computational science.
